Environmental conservation aims at taking steps to ensure that the natural environment of our planet is protected and taken care of. The natural environment faces serious threats due to a number of reasons. These threats include deforestation, toxic wastes, mindless exploitation of resources, pollution, and many others. Removal of all these threats is an only way of survival of the planet.

The chief objective of environmental conservation is to remove the challenges and work towards the protection and conservation of the natural surroundings. Be it air or water, forests or fuels, all resources are important units of the environment. Man has utilized them since ages. But now the emphasis is not only on their uses but how to use them in a way that the ecological balance could be maintained.

The green police have stated that man is dependent on the environment for sustenance. With the spread of this awareness, nations have begun to take active interest and participation in environmental conservation. Steps are being taken to ensure that the environment of the planet is protected. Some of these steps include the lessening of greenhouse gas emission, control of toxic waste disposal, forestation, etc.

It is necessary to understand that the environment supports the existence of life on earth and thus environmental conservation is a necessity!
